OASC State Conference
LEAD LIKE A CHAMPION

 The State Student Council Conference was held Nov 7-9 in Norman.  Since Edison was elected Oklahoma Association of Student Councils President at last year's conference, we served as the State President this year.  Nate Walker continues to serve in this position--the OASC President unitl January. Edison was represented by fourteen outstanding student delegates.  Delegates heard motivational speeches by Madeline Manning Mims, Kevin Carroll, and Sheri Coale.  The theme of this year's conference was LEAD LIKE A CHAMPION.  Former Olymic Gold Medalist Madeline Manning Mims opened the session with her message of leadership.  Kevin Carroll, author of the Rules of the Red Rubber Ball, taught us how to play like a champion, and Sheri Coale, OU Women's Basketball Coach, gave us tips on finishing like champions.  Nate Walker gave the presidential address to the goup of 1500+ delegates and 150+ sponsors.  In his address, Nate shared personal insights on how to deal with a variety of situations.  His address was meaningful and insightful.
