Dry Gulch

Dry Gulch is a 3 day/2 night camp for 6th graders held at Dry Gulch USA on Lake Hudson.  During camp, the students will be attending classes pertaining to life in the wilderness and in the early American West. It is a time for the students to get to know one another (and their teachers) away from the school environment. They will also participate in free-time activities including swimming, go-karts, horseback rides, wagon rides, canoeing, and many others.

There is information and a sign up table at Schedule Pick-Up in the Middle Foyer. Parents should pick up (and sign for) their information packet that day. At that time, parents may also sign up to volunteer to chaperone on the trip (or part of the trip).  There are many supplies needed to make this trip a memorable experience for the students. Parents are encouraged to sign up if they can help provide any of the supplies for the trip. If you have volunteered to be a bunk parent, the teachers will be calling you closer to the departure date to discuss further details.  An evening meeting of the bunk parents is  the week before Dry Gulch departure, and procedures and expectations are reviewed.

There is a lot of work that goes into preparing and organizing this trip. If you would like to help with the preparations, contact one of your 6th grade PTSA representatives, or let one of the teachers know you’d like to help.
