National Association of Student Councils, the preeminent governing body for  U.S. student councils, recognized the Edison Student Council by awarding it the 2009 National Gold Council of Excellence Award.  Only 118 schools in the entire country were recognized with this prestigious award. This is the fifth year that Edison has received this honor.  NASC began recognizing outstanding student councils in 2005, and Edison has received this honor all 5 years.
