the 4th Annual
    Eagles Roost Home Tour

May 1st, 2010

    The Thomas A. Edison Foundation would like to invite Tulsans to enjoy an evening of local cuisine and haute real estate during the fourth annual Eagles Roost Home Tour May, 1st from 6:30 – 10p.m.  Enjoy an evening of fun, friends, alumni and food while being shuttled to each unique home.
    This year’s tour will be offered from 6:30 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, May 1st. Featured midtown Tulsa homes are owned by Susan and Jeff Couch; Drs. Debra and Keith Montgomery; and Beverly and Mike Tolson. Each of the homes is located in midtown and is owned by the parents of Edison students.
     The homes showcased will host a notable local independent restaurant serving unique appetizers paired with a complimentary wine and beer bar. Of those restaurants are Edison alumni Jason Smith of Phat Philly’s 1101 S. Detroit; Proprietor and Operator Ken Schafer of The Boston Deli Grill & Market 6231 E. 61st Street. The third restaurant TBA.

     Music for the event is always a favorite part of the tour. This year we are pleased to offer music provided by the Edison middle and high school music department. Local rock band, “ Innuendo and Out the Other”, Edison string ensemble, and Edison Jazz band will perform at the featured homes.
 
     All of the proceeds from the event will benefit the Edison Foundation Endowment Fund, while the other half will be allocated to the Edison Foundation for grant request for classroom enrichment programs. The Edison Foundation’s mission is to enhance each student’s educational experience through grants for classroom materials, informative programs and continuing educational programs for Edison teachers. These grants enable unique educational opportunities and programs that Edison students and faculty greatly benefit from.
    A shuttle service to each of the homes will begin boarding at 6:15 pm and leave at 6:30 from Edison Preparatory middle and high west parking lot, 2800 E. 41st St.
    Tickets can be purchased before April 1st for “Early Eagle” price of two for $100. Ticket price after April 1st is $60 per person and must be purchased in advance. Parents, alumni, friend and neighbors get your tickets today. The attire is casual. Patrons and Edison alums, who would like to make a donation but are not able to attend the tour, may do so by mailing the contribution to Edison Foundation 2906 E. 41st St., Tulsa, Oklahoma 74105.
    A limited number of Eagles tickets will be sold and can be purchased by calling Holly Park at 313-6335 or hhpark@cox.net .

     The home of Susan and Jeff Couch is located in the midtown private edition of Annandale.  The home has been renovated inside and outside with a sleek modern feel. Open and inviting spaces are seen throughout the interior of this one of a kind home.A modern kitchen was recently completed in this beautiful contemporary home. Montgomery Home      The home of Dr's. Debra and Keith Montgomery is located in Mapleridge. A  French Stucco Chateau styled home built in 1995 that is captivating inside and out. The homeowner is an avid big game hunter, the interior is adorned with trophies
from Africa and the Arctic Circle. Touches of Old European opulence is apparent through out the home. A private courtyard is located to the rear of the home as well.


     The home of Beverly and Mike Tolson is located in one of the oldest and established area of midtown Tulsa. The Traditional Colonial  two story home sits  beyond the winding street on a large landscaped lot. The homes interior boasts a Southern Traditional feel with vibrant rich color and heirloom furnishings. The Southern charm of this home is felt throughout the interior as well as the exterior of the home.
